Jesus Christ Fullfilled the Law: IT IS FINNISHED

Jesus Christ Fullfilled the Law: IT IS FINNISHED Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the law. He kept it completely and fully. No one can keep the law or Jesus would not have needed to come. Only that which is of the Holy Spirit in us is good, all else falls short of God’s glory. Flesh is in enmity with God and always will be until we are given our new bodies for eternity. Prior to the Crucifixion and resurrection: Truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not a…n iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished”
Matthew 5:17–20 On the cross-“It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. John 19:30 After the resurrection: For Christ is the END OF THE LAW for righteousness to everyone who believes. ROMANS 10:4 Christ is the end of the law. Christ fulfilled the law. Those who believe on the completed, accomplished work of Jesus Christ receive the righteousness of God. Now we are under the law of the Spirit of life and liberty in Christ Jesus …not the old Testament law. IT IS ABOLISHED!! We are not made righteous because of our good work but rather because of the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross and after his resurrection when he sprinkled his blood on the mercy seat in heaven. Jesus Christ was sacrificed for us. For our sins. The just for the unjust. Jesus was our Passover.  He fulfilled all the law and accomplished for us his righteousness and redemption when he was crucified on the cross.
When Jesus was sacrificed on the cross for our sins he had fulfilled  ALL the law. Nothing was left undone in his completed work! The bible says that he who knew no sin BECAME SIN so that we could have imputed to us(accredited to our account) HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Philippians 3:9: And be found in him (Christ), not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, But that which is through the faith (accomplished believing) of Christ, the righteousness Which is of God by faith (believing)
We do not have to keep the law in order to establish our own righteousness by our own works because we are righteous because of the accomplished work of Jesus Christ. Righteousness is imputed to us (accredited to our account because of Jesus) 2 Corinthians 5:21 “he became sin so that you and I might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Romans 3:24: Being justified freely by his (God’s) grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 1 Corinthians 5:7:
For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Jesus Christ is now our Sabbath rest and we no longer have to observe the Sabbath day for those who are in Christ Jesus are now free from the law of Moses which could not justify us from sin.  Just as men are no longer obligated to be circumcised they are no longer obligated to keep the Old Testament Sabbath which is under the Leviticus priesthood and the law of Moses. The Sabbath symbolized the coming of the Messiah, so if you are still keeping the Sabbath then you have placed yourself back under the law. The Sabbath day rest God instituted as a foreshadowing of our complete rest in Christ . He blessed it, sanctified it, and made it holy. The Sabbath was a symbol of Christ the messiah.  Christ IS our Sabbath rest. He is the holy, perfect Son of God who sanctifies and makes holy all who trust in Him.
God sanctified Christ, just as He sanctified the Sabbath day, and sent Him into the world to be our sacrifice for sin. In Him we find complete rest from the labors of our self-efforts because JESUS alone is holy and righteous. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” 2 Corinthians 5:2   We can now cease from our spiritual labors and rest in Him, not just one day a week, but always. As God incarnate  Jesus is our Sabbath rest in the flesh. He is “Lord of the Sabbath” Matthew 12:8 There is no other Sabbath rest besides Jesus. He alone satisfies the requirements of the Law, and He alone provides the sacrifice that atones for sin.
Jesus is God’s plan for us to cease from the labor of our own works. By continuing to keep the Sabbath law we are rejecting the New Testament salvation in Jesus Christ.  Please don’t reject God’s Sabbath rest in Jesus Christ and continue to observe the law, which has been fulfilled in Christ.  “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience” Hebrews 4:9-11
